General Questions
DevotedDOC operates as a multi-state telemedicine platform with services currently available across multiple states. Please see our Location Map for details. Service availability varies by state based on regulatory requirements and provider licensure. For the most up-to-date information, please contact our team directly.
Payment for a visit does not guarantee a prescription. All treatment decisions, including whether a medication is prescribed, are based on a thorough clinical evaluation, your medical history, and the provider's professional judgment. Our providers follow evidence-based guidelines and regulatory requirements to ensure that any treatment offered is safe, appropriate, and medically necessary.
You can reach DevotedDOC through our website at www.devoteddoc.com, by phone, or through our secure patient communication platforms. Our team is available to assist with scheduling, treatment questions, and general support.
DevotedDOc primarily operates on a transparent, self-pay model to ensure fast access, predictable pricing, and
reduced administrative barriers. In select cases, services may be eligible for reimbursement depending on your
insurance plan. We recommend checking directly with your insurer.
Getting started is straightforward:
- Schedule your visit online
- Complete your intake forms
- Meet with a licensed provider via secure telemedicine
You will not get the visit link right away. First, you need to complete your pre-registration and check-in. Once
that is done, you will be taken directly to your virtual visit. If there is a problem with the link, we may send
you a new link by text message.
Generally, DevotedDOc providers do not evaluate and prescribe medications for mental health conditions on an
ongoing basis. When clinically appropriate, we may provide certain medications based on your need, including
medications for sleep, anxiety, depression, and as-needed refills. All prescribing decisions are individualized
and based on a comprehensive medical evaluation. We generally recommend a primary care physician or psychiatrist
for ongoing needs.
Once scheduled and registration is fully complete, you will receive a secure link to join your telemedicine visit
before the appointment time. Visits are conducted via HIPAA-compliant video or phone, depending on clinical
appropriateness and state regulations.
In some cases, yes. Lab testing or additional verification (such as identity confirmation or drug screening) may
be required based on the condition being treated, safety considerations, and regulatory requirements. Our
providers will guide you through this process if needed.
DevotedDOc follows all federal and state prescribing laws. We do not prescribe:
- Controlled substances outside of permitted telemedicine use
- Medications deemed unsafe without in-person evaluation
- Any treatment that falls outside clinical or regulatory guidelines
Yes. If clinically appropriate, providers may issue documentation such as work or school notes following a
completed visit.
DevotedDOc is designed for adults seeking convenient, physician-led care across multiple service lines, including
general medicine, weight loss, men's health, and addiction treatment. We treat limited pediatric conditions; we
currently do not offer Addiction Services for pediatric patients. Eligibility depends on your location, condition,
and clinical appropriateness for telemedicine.
Addiction Treatment
DevotedDOc provides physician-led, evidence-based treatment for opioid use disorder using Medication-Assisted
Treatment (MAT). The process includes:
- Comprehensive screening for mental health conditions
- Initial evaluation via telemedicine
- Diagnosis based on DSM-5 criteria
- Medication management (e.g., buprenorphine-based therapy)
- CBT support
- Ongoing follow-up and retention support
Follow-up timing depends on your stage of treatment. Most patients are scheduled within 1–2 weeks initially, with
ongoing visits tailored based on clinical stability and progress.
Addiction treatment services are currently available in select states where our providers are licensed and where
telemedicine prescribing is permitted. We are actively expanding access across additional states.
DevotedDOc providers primarily prescribe Suboxone® (buprenorphine-naloxone) in alignment with DEA regulations and
evidence-based clinical guidelines, as it is the standard first-line treatment and carries a lower risk of misuse.
In select cases, such as a documented allergy, intolerance, or clinically appropriate indication, providers may
consider buprenorphine-only formulations like Subutex®. All decisions are made on an individual basis following a
thorough medical evaluation.
In many cases, treatment can be initiated and managed remotely in accordance with current federal telemedicine
guidelines. However, certain states or clinical situations may require an in-person evaluation. Our team will
guide you based on your location and needs.
Early refills are generally not permitted and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Providers follow strict
clinical and regulatory guidelines to ensure safe and appropriate prescribing.
Medication-Assisted Treatment using buprenorphine-naloxone is one of the most effective, evidence-based treatments
for opioid use disorder. While it may help stabilize patients with related substance use patterns, treatment plans
for substances like kratom or tianeptine are individualized and evaluated carefully by the provider.
Drug Screenings
If a drug screen is required, you will receive clear instructions, including options for at-home testing or local
lab completion. Timely completion is important to continue treatment safely.
Unexpected results are reviewed in a clinical context. Your provider will discuss findings with you and determine
the safest and most appropriate next steps. This does not automatically result in discontinuation of care.
Follow the instructions included with your kit carefully. This typically includes:
- Completing the sample as directed
- Submitting results per instructions
- Notifying your care team once complete
Pharmacy Help
If you experience any issues with your prescription — such as delays, stock shortages, or pharmacy questions —
please contact our team directly. We can coordinate with the pharmacy, resend prescriptions if appropriate, or
help identify alternative locations to ensure continuity of care. Please note: we do not offer refunds for
pharmacy denials.
DevotedDOc operates primarily on a self-pay model, and we do not routinely complete prior authorizations. If your
insurance requires authorization, you may choose to:
- Pay out-of-pocket using discount programs (e.g., GoodRx)
- Contact your insurance provider directly
- Discuss alternative treatment options with your provider
Cancellations & Refunds
Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled in advance to avoid forfeiting the visit fee. Refunds are generally
not provided after a visit has been completed, as provider time has been reserved and services rendered.
Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
You can cancel or reschedule through your booking link or by contacting our support team directly. We recommend
making changes as early as possible to avoid cancellation fees.
Refund requests can be submitted by contacting our support team. All requests are reviewed individually and are
subject to our cancellation and service policies. Refund requests are reviewed within 72 hours.
If a refund has been approved, processing times may vary depending on your payment method and financial
institution. If approved, please allow several business days for the refund to appear. If there are delays,
contact your financial institution.

Hormone Therapy
Hormone therapy works by restoring hormone levels in the body to a healthy range. This can help improve symptoms
such as low energy, weight gain, mood changes, low libido, and sleep issues. Treatment is personalized based on
your symptoms, labs, and overall health.
Your safety is our priority. Before starting treatment, our clinical team performs a thorough medical evaluation,
including lab testing, to determine if hormone therapy is safe and appropriate for you. Ongoing monitoring helps
ensure treatment remains safe over time.
DevotedDOC offers a range of hormone therapy options for both men and women. This may include:
- Testosterone optimization
- Estrogen and progesterone support
- Other hormone-based treatments based on your needs
During your initial visit, DevotedDOc providers will order a comprehensive lab panel for you. These labs help
ensure treatment is safe, personalized, and effective.
Weight Loss
The cost of weight loss medications varies depending on the medication prescribed and your treatment plan. Our
team will review options with you, including cost-effective solutions when available.
Your weight loss program may include:
- A medical evaluation with a licensed provider
- Personalized treatment plan
- Prescription medications (if appropriate)
- Ongoing follow-up and support
Side effects vary depending on the medication used. Common side effects may include nausea, decreased appetite, or
digestive changes. Your provider will review all risks and benefits with you before starting treatment.
Rapid Care (Urgent Care Alternative)
Your visit includes a consultation with a licensed provider, medical evaluation, and treatment plan. If

- Cold and flu symptoms
- Allergies
