Michael Alvarez
Michael Alvarez, MPA, serves as Vice President of DevotedDOc, bringing 19 years of law enforcement, leadership, and public service experience to the organization. Michael earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University in 2007, where he was also a student-athlete and member of the football team from 2003 to 2007. He later completed his Master’s degree in Public Administration and Policy Making in 2013, with a minor in Human Resources, graduating with honors.
Throughout his career in law enforcement, Michael developed a deep understanding of public safety, accountability, crisis response, and real-world problem solving. His experience gives DevotedDOc a unique perspective on the connection between healthcare access, behavioral health, substance use treatment, corrections, reentry, and community wellness.
As Vice President, Michael helps support DevotedDOc’s mission to expand access to care and create meaningful solutions for individuals, families, and communities. His background in public service allows him to approach healthcare from both a human and operational perspective, helping bridge the gap between clinical care, public safety, and the communities DevotedDOc serves.
