7-OH & Kratom Dependence Treatment in Montana

Montana currently has no statewide kratom-specific 7-OH concentration limit. However, the sale of kratom products through licensed retail food establishments may violate the Montana Food Code.

There is no enacted statewide numeric limit for 7-OH or a specific prohibition on synthetic kratom alkaloids. Availability often depends on the type of retailer rather than a blanket statewide ban.

Montana has not enacted a statewide ban on possession of kratom or a Kratom Consumer Protection Act. Kratom may still be available from specialty or non-food retailers such as vape shops.
